WHAT
IS TWINNING?
Twinning describes a special relationship between two communities. The main purpose is to widen horizons and promote international friendship. To achieve this, local twinning associations exist to provide a way for schools, organisations, businesses and individuals to meet with people of similar interests in the twinned village or town.
DENMEAD AND ITS TWIN
Denmead is a village in South East Hampshire near
Portsmouth. In 1994, the village twinned with Saint Georges
les Baillargeaux near Poitiers in the Poitou-Charentes
department in western France.
